Carried on replacing everything. Rebuilt
the front and rear suspension. Showing off the bright red shockers and
black springs!
Don’t forget to replace the propshaft before fitting the diff.
The exhaust system needs to go back on before fitting the rear suspension.
We nearly forgot about the exhaust but remembered in time!
When everything was replaced, we then refitted the wheels and rolled
it out of the garage to begin marrying the body down to the chassis.
As when we removed the body it was a case of gradually does it. We again
took it very easy and lowered the body onto the chassis in easy stages.
After what seemed like a lot more manoeuvring than we had done when
taking it off, we had the body on the new chassis and heaved a big sigh
of relief!
We then rolled the car back into the garage to start reattaching everything
on the body to the new chassis. and vica versa.
The exposed bits of the rubberised foam were given two coats of underseal
so it would be waterproof but still fairly flexible.
Is it just me -- or does the car actually looks happy to be going back
onto the new chassis in the last photo??
